Wow. The idea behind this is pretty easy to understand, but actually climbing onto this sucker does take a certain level of crazy. It can’t be a very comforting ride, and it has to haul ass even if it was the most pathetic small block. We’re sure it’s a riot. If you haven’t ever driven a racing barstool, then you probably can’t understand just what it feels like to drive something fast sitting like this and with this kind of attitude. I drove my first at the Car Craft Summer Nationals and it was a riot and a touch and go experience all at the same time. I never expected to last a whole weekend without crashing one
Everyone that rode on one for the first time ended up squealing like a little kid as they tried to decide if this was fun, scary, or both.
Here’s the description from the video:
A bar stool racer is a sketchy contraption with a 5hp lawn mower engine. Curtis Butler has taken that questionable engineering to the next level with a Chevrolet V8 and clearly, his nerves of steel. Meet the flying bar stool, which could possibly be the coolest pit vehicle ever created.
Why was I not surprised when I heard the builders southern accent.
