I love Pismo Beach. Pismo is one of the premier sand toys experiences in California and has a flair all its own. With miles of beach and sand, and the ever shifting dunes, you can have all kinds of fun there for just a few bucks. Roll down to the beach, pay for your day permit, and then cruise. And there are always a ton of motorcycles, 4-wheelers, Jeeps, trucks, buggies, and more. It’s a fun experience, and is something special because you have the beach right there.
Lots of off-highway locations exist in California, but Pismo is definitely unique. I remember going there in the early 1990’s a lot and was blown away by the vehicles and stuff that people show up with there.
In the video below you will see some fun shots of the general area, but the focus is on the sand drags area where anyone and everyone is welcome to line up and run your buddy. There are some seriously fast machines, and some daily drivers. You name it, it’s out there.
