This 1978 Ford Fairmont Could Be The Tubbed Pro Street Ride You’ve Been Dreaming About

This 1978 Ford Fairmont Could Be The Tubbed Pro Street Ride You’ve Been Dreaming About

Whether Pro Street is “in” or not depends on who you ask. Regardless, those that have a tubbed car make me jealous. I have always wanted a Pro Street car and my plan to is to someday make that happen. With that said, if any of you Ford guys are looking for something to put your personal stamp on but not have to build it from scratch, this 1978 Ford Fairmont just might be your jam. It is tubbed, has a ladder bar suspension, and the cage fits the NHRA Rulebook. Did I mention it is big block powered too? Yeah, this one could be a riot, that’s for sure. What we like about it is that the price is right for the components present, and it would be great to race, cruise, or just idle through your local drive in spot.

Here is all the info from the seller:

Professionally built Ford 470 cubic inch big block: Pro-Comp aluminum heads, Weind intake, Edelbrock carb, Pro-Comp HEI distributor, 11.5:1 compression, custom ground cam, C6 tranny w/ 3500 stall converter. Full NHRA approved roll cage, narrowed 9.25″ rear end, third member set up with a spool and 4.11 ring and pinion, ladder bars with coil overs. Tubbed, 12″ Centerline wheels with 32×14.50 drag slicks. Comes with 2 battery boxes, gauges, 2 poly high back race seats, front fenders, hood grill and headlights, bumpers. Needs finishing, don’t have time. NOT parting out. No email, call or text only.
