At this year’s Bonneville Speed Week, Alex Taylor got into the Bonneville 200 mph Club, and got her famed Red Hat. But she said she wasn’t done yet, because she wanted to try and run over 250 this week, which would give her a AA License as well, and if she can run back to back runs over 250 she would get her license and a pretty special record as well. Let’s see if she can make it happen!
As we said yesterday, Alex is back out at Bonneville after getting here licensing runs done last year here at Bonneville Speed Week, and she’s all fired up to be going after a record behind the wheel of Keith and Tonya Turk’s famed Camaro. This thing is known as the So-Al Special, the Hot Rod Camaro, the Car Junkie TV Camaro, and the Roadkill Camaro, and Alex is just one of many who have raced this thing over the years, myself included.

Video Description:
#speedweekwithpeak comes to an end! We attempted to run 250+ mph to get my AA License and possibly reset the record again. The course wasn’t there for us on Day 5 and on Day 6 we just didn’t have the power. Rather than continuing to attempt, we’re taking it as a reason to come back again! Our good friend, Shawn Fetter, was able to break a record and join the 200 MPH club in the car that I raced last year with Roger Beckman and Time Cox! We had a blast celebrating his accomplishment and wrapping up the week with the 200 mph club banquet. Thank you for all following along our #speedweekwithpeak and a special thank you to @peakauto for helping us make this happen!
