When we met Travis, and the rest of the yahoos associated with Rawr Racing, during Rocky Mountain Race Week we knew immediately that they were a little bit…hmmm how do we say it…ret…no can’t use that one it’s politically incorrect…so how about….hmmmmm…SPECIAL. Yeah that’s it.
You see, Travis shows up in a cop car. Not a Crown Vic that has spotlights and used to be a cop car, but a full blown everything still in it new Caprice Cop Car that he somehow bought used without having to take all the crap off of it.
Which means I’m immediately drawn to the hood of it, like a moth to a flame, and before I know it I’m assuming the position and nobody is even there to tell me to do it. Weird, I know, but I couldn’t help myself. Maybe it was Kyle from 1320video talking smack on the loud speaker, but I’m still a little traumatized.
At any rate, Travis ends up being just our kind of SPECIAL and we hung out a bunch during Race Week. Fast forward to the 1320Video Ice Cream Cruise, which is an absolutely giant cruise and drag race in the Omaha area, and Travis takes the Rawr Racing Minivan, complete with Dinosaur on the roof and all, and proceeds to burn the tires to the ground on it. We’re in love. Minivan burnout for the win!
6.5 miles from home he loses a tire. 4 miles from home it’s beating up the fender a bit, 1.5 miles from home and he’s complaining about the noise the bare rim makes on the ground but is happy that there are no major sparks. Once home he is glad his mom didn’t call him anything worse than “Dumb Ass!”.
Enjoy the video.
Yes,he might be a dumb ass—but not as dumb as the people walking in front of the car while it is in the middle of a long smokey burn-out. They can’t see him,and neither can he see them . What if ??? What if the car moves out of the smoke and into the people standing there ?? Then, who is the DUMB-ASS. The track and management are at fault , and we loose a place to race and play(worst case) SO———- Have some safe fun
Sorry but the only minivan ever worth watching was the one that looked all stock but had a 440 mounted mid-ship that ran at Englishtown in the late 80s/early 90s. Is that still around? Just wondered.
