Alaska is the largest state in the United States of America by more than double, so it’s only fitting that 4th of July festivities would be huge there as well. And while we’ve heard of all kinds of 4th of July shenanigans, we’ve never seen anything like this before. Take a 300 foot tall cliff, make two ramps at the edge of it, and add a simple but effective guidance system and you have the makings of a real party. These cars and trucks are fired up, put to wide open throttle, and sent flying off the edge of the cliff. Some with more spectacular flight than others, but every single one gives its all as it hits the ground and comes apart into untold number of pieces. There are a couple in this video that land on the flat ground below and become pancakes. It shows just how insane the forces are that are at play here. Watch.
Video Description:
We traveled from Nebraska to Alaska to launch cars off a 300 foot cliff! Arnie Hrncir organizes the event every year at Glacier View Retreat! Not only is it just an insanely wild experience, the Alaska views are absolutely breathtaking. It’s hard to think of a better way to spend the 4th of July! We hope you enjoy the CARNAGE!
