Clay Millican cracks me up. This dude is ultra talented, never shuts up, and is so genuine that you just can’t help but love the guy. And, again, he’s a hell of a racer. So he takes a trip to NASCAR country and gets sidetracked, ends up at Modern Racing totally by accident and proceeds to hang out and check out all the cool stuff on site. And there is plenty of cool stuff on site. First he talks with our boy Lyle Barnett’s crew chief, and the grand poobah of Modern Racing, Justin Elkes, and then he proceeds to hang with Lyle, and ultimately get into Justin Swanstrom’s new NPK car. And did we mention that Justin was there for the first startup of the car and Clay just happened to luck into it? Well yeah, that’s kind of the way things work for Clay. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

I like Clay’s videos on YouTube because he mixes it up with all kinds of content depending on what exactly he’s doing. There is some really great Top Fuel tech you’ll never see anyone else talk about in public, and he’s got a great attitude about what he knows, what he doesn’t, and who actually cares. It’s good stuff, and this video is the good stuff too. Not necessarily his norm, but we dig it.
