Why is it that we all love wheelstands so much? Is it the fact that we know carnage is often associated with the giant wheelstands? Or that it’s the ultimate display of power? Of it is just because that’s not how a car is SUPPOSED to be moving? Whatever it is, I love them. I always have. That’s because I grew up racing the original small tire classes, Stock Eliminator. And when stockers started pulling the front wheels on the starting line, things started changing in a big way. Now it’s common place with all the tire advancements, chassis adjustments, and easy horsepower. But that doesn’t make it any less cool to watch.
