We were there streaming all the action live, and it was still hard to believe that Rob Valden set a new Drag Radial record at 3.856 seconds at over 212 mph! The car, a bitchin Corvette owned by Andrew Alpea, just kept getting quicker and quicker throughout Friday qualifying and Sunday eliminations. With three amazing Corvettes all running in the 3 second zone it truly was anyone’s game on Saturday. But apparently nobody told Valden’s crew that, because they owned all comers and took home not only the overall win, but also the quickest Drag Radial Pass in history. An insane, 3.856 at over 212 mph. We know the guys at ProLine Racing Engines are super excited about this one, and for good reason. This car was just one of the insanely competitive machines on site running their stuff, and another record in the books is just what they like to see.
Congrats to the team. Here it is. Smooth as silk.
