Brian King’s AWD Hurst/Olds is a beast. Running an 800hp 6.6L ProCharged LS engine and all-wheel-drive, the G-body Cutlass is capable of not only handling itself at a race, but handing plenty of the competition their ass on a silver platter. Considering that the car became AWD after a buddy in a Mitsubishi Evo made him look like a chump in a race, it is no surprise that now the Cutlass just squats the back, raises the front, and hooks all four tires into the asphalt. But what would give the Olds real competition? How about a nasty ProCharged Jeep SRT-8? We’ve seen what these things are capable of first-hand, which is a hard launch and acceleration that absolutely defies their nearly 5,000 pound curb weight. The Jeep weighs half a ton more, but can hook better…The Cutlass has been dealing with tuning issues, but half a ton is a lot of weight….place your bets!
Love that Cutlass!
