BIG MONEY & CRAZY RACING! 103 Car Butt Naked No Prep On The Brand New Surface At U.S. 60 Dragway!

There are basically three kinds of No Prep drag racing. Officially there are two, front of the track and back of the track. Front of the track meaning racing from the starting line just like you would at any other drag race. Back of the track means racing from the finish line towards the starting line. The latter is tougher as there is no rubber down on the top end of most race tracks. But in the front of the track world, there are kind of two different types. The first is where a race track leaves the track alone, and does no other prep work once the event starts. So the track is what it is, but will typically get better and better throughout the event as cars put down rubber. Think No Prep Kings and most No Prep races. The second is where a track scrapes the track down to bare concrete or asphalt before the start of the event. This leaves a smooth surface, but one without any rubber to provide grip. This is essentially what we’re talking about at the Big Money Butt Naked No Prep event at US 60 Dragway.

But not because they scraped the track. Nope, they did it because they had just resurfaced the track and not one single car had ever been down it or done a burnout on it until the start of this event. And I dig it. Check out all the action from our friends at 1320Video.

Video Description:

This is one of the biggest races we’ve been to, 103 cars! All these guys are battling for $40,000 and it’s on a brand new surface! US 60 drag way has been around for some time, and they just recently resurfaced the entire track. The first burnout of this race was the first black marks on the new surface. This is the type of racing we love! Tons of racers, big money, insanely close races, and a huge freaking crowd to get the adrenaline flowing!
