These Cadillac Wheelstanders Are Awesome…But We Have No Info! Do You Know Anything About “The Peacemaker”?

These Cadillac Wheelstanders Are Awesome…But We Have No Info! Do You Know Anything About “The Peacemaker”?

Ok, BangShifters, I’m calling on your vast knowledge once again for some information on a strange racer from the past. Last time I got a ton of info on Russ Theus’s Lincoln Mark VII Trans-Am racer, which had a very short career before the car crashed hard at IRP, ending it’s career. Now, I need your help again, this time to get some background info on a couple of of the strangest wheel standers I’ve ever laid eyes on.

What I know is very slim: the driver’s name is Jim Brewer, and the cars were both run as “The Peacemaker”. One is a late-70s Caddy Seville body, the other is a very late 1980s or early 1990s FWD Fleetwood body. The Seville was listed as being good for a low-11 quarter-mile, while I have no speed info on the Fleetwood. Both cars were on alcohol, but the engine comes into question, between a Chevy and a Hemi. Brewer moved on to a ’33 Willys and was active at least through 2010. I can find all sorts of stuff on the Willys, but the Cadillacs seem to have been lost, with only these two pictures available. Did you see these cars? Got any stores, or pictures? Let’s see ’em!

He’s out of Cleveland, as far as I know he still does wheelstanders. It’s far too early in the morning for me to remember his name though, give me a few hours and I’ll wake up…..
