Can Peter Harrell’s HED 2Runner do a burnout?! Let’s find out! With special mystery narration.

When Pete decided he was going to build up his Toyota 2Runner, he said he wanted this thing to be as quiet as possible so that nobody would even realize it was modified. With a turbocharged LS that still has a stock cam in it, it idles smooth as silk but still has some real power. I won’t tell you what this thing runs in the 1/8th mile but suffice it to say it makes way more power than stock. What’s funny is that Pete has literally never done a burnout in the thing. It runs down the dragstrip without spinning the tires because it’s got a stock converter in it and doesn’t really start putting down power until after it has driven out from the starting line. But that’s leaving off an idle. What kind of tire smoke is this thing going to make out in front of the shop?

Let’s see.
