Every sanctioning body has rules, and whether we like it or not there are times that those rules are broken either by mistake or on purpose. When an infraction does happen, that sanctioning body has to respond in such a way that makes racers know they are serious. At the recent American Rebel Light Virginia NHRA Nationals race there were several rules infractions that resulted in NHRA taking action. The punishments ranged from qualifying runs being disqualified, all the way to a final round win being revoked. The teams involved in the infractions had a variety of reactions, but most are accepting of the penalties because they were clear violations. But not everyone.
In the video below you’ll see what happened to our friend Clay Millican when he was found to have been in violation of the rules as well.
Video Description:
It’s race day in Richmond, but things didn’t go according to plan. After yesterday’s video, I found out that our last qualifying run was disqualified due to a rules infraction. In this video, I’ll break down exactly what happened, the specific rule we violated, and how this changes our strategy moving forward. Once we cover that, we’ll dive into the racing action.
Plus, I’ll give you a sneak peek of what’s coming up in the next video, so you won’t want to miss it.
