BangShifter Joe Haber sent me this gem from his backyard in Tucson, Arizona. A full-on funny car and ’74 Vega Wagon body, this thing just needs an engine and trans (as well as a cleanup and some paint) to be ready to rock. It comes with body stands, headers, fire extinguishers and all the equipment to put a Powerglide in. Seeing this car brings on memories of the Wonderwagon and Midnight Express Funny Cars that ran the strips in the ’70s. Hopefully someone snaps this up and puts it back together, as it’s too complete to simply become garage art.
You can find the Vega’s ebay ad here.
Damn…if I had the garage space, I’d buy it…very cool…
“Wonderwagon” was the first thing I thought when I saw the pic, man I wish I had the cash for this 🙁
Remember why they stopped racing these vega wagons.Squirrely handling deathtraps! Cool though.
Ginny,,, is this you ???
can the chassis be recert.. if not.. then it IS garage art.
