Factory Appearing, Stock Tire racing is awesome. Take restoration-quality muscle cars, put them on their factory-equipment tires, and see how quickly a driver can really wheel them down the track…what’s not to love? Especially when plenty of these “stock” cars are turning numbers that in no way reflect the honest figures a standard example would have cut in the good old days. We aren’t complaining, mind you…anyone that can wheel a Road Runner on bias-ply tires into the 11-second range is a badass in our book. Here we have a race from last year at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in New Jersey, and you’re sitting smack dab in between two of the best voices we’ve heard chat about racing in a while. Sure, the racing is alright (even if it’s a little Mopar heavy) but hearing these two guys go back and forth on the good old days does it for us. Click play below and enjoy the sights and sounds…and especially the accents!

I’ve seen these car run at E-town before and they definitely do not sound remotely stock! That’s the best part about them!
It’s amazing how they get the car to hook with those tires.
If it’s Mopar heavy that would be refreshing compared to the usual Chevy heavy raceing. It suggests Mopar might have had the performance edge during that era? I remember during that time Mopars were the cars to beat on the street and I’m a Ford guy!
Definitely no such thing as too many mopars.
