FACTORY DRAG CARS, Moonshine Runners & Racing Legends At The Mountain Moonshiners Festival in Dawsonville, Georgia.

I’m a fan of good moonshine, and I’m clearly a fan of hot rods and race cars, so the Mountain Moonshine Festival sounds like a great way to spend a weekend! Thankfully our friend Tommy Lee Byrd is sharing video from this awesome event and that video includes race cars and drivers, plus real moonshine runners! They are more closely than some of you might realize, as moonshine runners were a major influence in what would become Stock Car Racing.

Video Description:

The Mountain Moonshine Festival in Dawsonville, Georgia is one of the coolest shows in the Southeast, as it pays tribute to Georgia racing history and always brings out a great crowd of cars. In this video, we’re looking at some spectacular Ford legends, including a couple of Ford Thunderbolt recreations, a ’67 Fairlane with an aluminum FE motor, a ’64 Galaxie with a 427 CAMMER, an R-code swapped ’57 Ford, and a 1965 Mercury Comet B/FX factory drag car. In addition to the factory experimental Fords, you’ll see a cool Mopar Pro Stocker, a blown big block Willys gasser, and much more!
