Integra Vs. A Twin-Turbo Audi R8: The Gringotegra Chalks Up Another Victim At TX2K16!

The green DC2 Acura Integra is the infamous “Gringotegra”, a ballistic little force-fed screamer that owner Myles uses to maintain his status as the fastest front-drive 1500′ and 1/2 mile roll racer out there. That Audi R8 is a twin turbo monster that is pushing 1,000 horsepower to all four tires. We’ve seen the Little Honda That Could run killer numbers before, but let’s be honest: that Audi is a re-skinned Lamborghini Gallardo that is being force-fed as much air as it can take. Sounds like a done deal, but power to weight ratio does have a place in racing and the Gringotegra, with it’s sequential-shift manual and Precision 6266 turbocharger working in harmony with a MoTec ECU, can deliver on Myles’ promises. Who the hell needs VTEC when you have a force-fed four-banger that can whip ass on the half-mile?

I may take some flak for this, but I love a fast Honda. Hung out with some guys who were making 350fwhp in Civics and that alone was an interesting ride.
