Jason Rupert Sets IHRA Nitro Funny Car Track Record 5.5536!

At Castrol Raceway during the the IHRA Mopar Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by Good Vibrations Motorsports, Jason Rupert’s “Rolling Thunder” ’69 Camaro-bodied nitro funny car recorded the second quickest elapsed time in history with a 5.5536 at a whopping 269.30 miles per hour charge.

After a single qualifying session for an 8-car field, Friday’s second qualifier was rained out.
