Not only because it is good, fun, close racing, but also because the fact that Jimmy and Poland convinced the no prep world to go index racing is just awesome. If you aren’t familiar, Lil Gangstas is a small tire, no prep, 5.30 index, 1/8th mile class. The goal is the make it to the finish line before the guy in the other lane, and to do so without going quicker than 5.30. Go 5.29 and you are out and your competitor wins. It’s simple really, and just like any other no prep, you’ve got to make it from A to B in order to move on.
The gang at Spoold Media put together a nothing but Lil Ganstas video from the Carolina Gold event at Shadyside and I know you’ll dig it. Running 5.30s is a challenge, but the cool thing is that most of the cars are the stuff you know and love. These are real cars, with real power, doing race car things, and we love it.
