We’ve had hundreds of inquiries into whether or not we are live streaming the 2020 March Meet, and tell everyone we wish we were. Luckily for those of us who can’t be there, the gang at CompetitionPlusTV have been putting together some highlights for all of us to check out. If you don’t know the March Meet in Famoso, aka Bakersfield, then you must not be much of a nostalgia drag racing fan. Or you are new to the sport and in that case, welcome. Famoso is home to the March Meet, which is the biggest, baddest, and most prestigious nostalgia drag race in history. But to be fair, it was always one of the most prestigious drag races, even when modern cars were racing there. This place oozes drag racing history and we love the place. In fact, it pains us to have missed the March Meet these past couple years, after streaming it for the masses for so many years.
But thankfully Bobby and his crew are shooting stuff for us so we have something to see! Big thanks my friend.

Phitter67 – You have good ears. That car has a small block Chevy vs the traditional Hemi. The car is super quick to the 1/8th vs the Hemi cars but doesn’t have the MPH.
Bill – It very well could be. Capps is there driving a funny car. Per a buddy who was there yesterday he qualified #16 in the 16 car field. He very well could be going double duty driving someone’s altered as well.
Your buddy must have valley fever. I wouldn’t use him as a source of information anymore.
Champion Speed Shop car sounded like shit all weekend. It’s not a legitimate small block Chevy by any means and Capps did not drive a funny car.
I was there Saturday. He qualified in a fuel altered, not an FC. They interviewed him over the PA from the top end end and he sounded super stoked (as if his life isn’t exciting enough already).
Well Drag Race Central WHO FOR WHATEVER REASON CANT SEEM TO POST SUNDAY RESULTS, had him #9 in an 8 car field. Looks like in their excitement to get Capps in the show they forgot a guy named Winefsky who ran a 6 42 and was #8.
Capps was pretty excited when they interviewed him yesterday after the run when they told him he was in. Ladder that was posted verified he did not make it. You would think the guys in the tower who have done this for a few years, M.E. D.C. would have their shit straight.
He shut it off at about 900,1000 ft. ran 6 45 Shoulda stayed in it just a bit longer.
I thought it was hilarious when Kieth Wilson in the Witch Doctor, who apparently does not believe in AA/FA index racing ran 5 83 on his first attempt and 5 88 on and off the throttle on his second run.
Didn’t qualify but sure let everyone know who had the quickest AA/FA on the property.

Hey y,all I live about a half hour from famoso and I”ll start recording and posting the march meet and the C.H.R.R it’s the only nitro events famoso host these day”s. It sucks considering this is one of the best tracks in the nation. So until october I bid you fair well. Lateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!
