Morning Symphony: The Sound Of Going Fast By Any Means Necessary

Morning Symphony: The Sound Of Going Fast By Any Means Necessary

Sorry, Ford fans, but this bitchin’ bumpside is powered by a Rat…one very, very angry Rat, but a big block Chevy nonetheless. I can already hear the hate comments flowing, so let’s look at this subjectively for a second. This Ford is a race truck. It’s only reason for existing in this world is to win drag races consistently. That’s all the driver asks out of the machine. And in the world of racing, brand loyalties are more of a handicap than they are a blessing unless you are factory sponsored. And whether you agree or not, the painful truth is that dollar for dollar, a Chevrolet mill is going to be cheaper to build, will crank out plenty of grunt, and has the benefit of decades of desirability which caused the aftermarket to whip up some killer parts.

Would this truck be cool with a 427 side-oiler in the bay making the same kind of noises? Absolutely. And it’d be cool if a blown old-school Hemi, or a Cummins diesel with boost by the ton was there as well. So get past your biases, crank the volume, and listen as this Ford does it’s job: running the 1320 like an absolute monster.
