What a pair to have talking about Hemi Race Cars and the early days of Pro Stock! I’ve been a Pro Stock fan my entire life, so when I took the plunge and got my Pro Stock license 25 years ago you can imagine how thrilled I was that Buddy Martin of Sox & Martin fame was on hand to get his license renewed for a Pro Stock Truck campaign. It was awesome talking to him, sharing a car, and just being around a guy that had been doing this since the beginning. So when I saw this video with our friend Steve Magnante talking to Mr. 4 Speed himself, Herb McCandless, about the history of Hemi race cars and Pro Stock, I had to watch.
