Things got a little more exciting than either Bobby Bode or Paul Lee wanted at the NHRA GatorNationals in Florida this week as a brake failure got these boys close enough to just kiss. Not each other, but each other’s cars. Bobby Bode, after losing brakes due to a brake rod failure, found himself trying to decide where to go as Paul Lee swerved in preparation for pulling off the race track. Bobby shot the groove so he wouldn’t rearend Paul and got close enough to clip the front wheel lip on Paul’s car with his left side header. It wasn’t a bad thing, but it sure could have been, and nobody knew what was going on until afterwards.
On thing for sure is that Paul wasn’t happy, Bobby was thrilled he didn’t crash anyone, and everyone else was confused and behind.
