There are several Dig or Die events each year, and there is no shortage of awesome cars and trucks competing in each of them. And regardless of which event it is, they are always worth real money. In this case, there is $14,000 going to the winner and that means folks are ready to rock and are serious about going down the track. But when back of the track no prep racing, you never know what is going to show up and how they are going to perform. The back of the track races are a totally different animal as the cars start in the shutdown area and race backwards toward the starting line. It’s fun to watch, but takes some real tuning to do well.
Check out the action here, thanks to Fredd and Kyle and the rest of the 1320Video crew.
Video Description:
North Carolina is known for its diverse landscapes, historic sites, and arts and culture. But in the drag racing world it’s known for “backside no preps” and that’s exactly why we traveled over 1,000 miles to “Dig or Die” no prep race. It’s a race that starts at the finish line and ends at the starting line, effectively providing racers with a truly unprepped surface to race on. Over 30 racers will compete for a $14,000 cash prize but only 1 can come away with the money.
