Outlaw Street Car Reunion V: Eliminations And Emergency Repairs In The Pits!

Outlaw Street Car Reunion V: Eliminations And Emergency Repairs In The Pits!

As the sun set and darkness enveloped Beech Bend, the progress continued on. Temperatures fell and the track stayed just as good, a testament to the work that Tyler Crossnoe and Kurt Johnson’s work. The action was on both sides of the tower…on one end you had elimination rounds running, and on the other was the thrash in the Micke/Carter pit as the Malibu was tucked in between the trailers, the damage on display for all to see. Every now and then the ringing of the hammer on what I believe was the catch pan could be heard as metal needed to be bent back into place. By the time the Radial Vs. The World quarter-finals were ready to be run, the Malibu was on the line sans front sheetmetal. Micke had drawn the bye run and broke the beams before heading back to finish up the rest of the work.

Aside from an incident involving a red Camaro that launched just forwards of the water box and made a pull out to the 330′ mark with almost no warning whatsoever to anyone on the starting line, things were progressing smoothly and the finals were setting up to be a solid showdown! But for now, we leave you here. Click on a photo below to see more footage from OSCR V!
