It’s finally here, our last gallery from Outlaw Street Car Reunion V. The race was shorter than originally planned, the testing and qualifying phases were rockier than anyone could have anticipated, and there was enough mechanical carnage to last several races, but Tyler Crossnoe, Kurt Johnson and the track staff at Beech Bend Raceway put together one hell of a show, and the racers, including the Mid-West Pro Mod drivers, kept the crowds entertained. When a race comes together and everything works out, Beech Bend lights up and to the end, there was the energy of people who were just behind the lines, wanting to see how this was going to play out.
I personally want to thank everyone who checked up on me throughout the weekend…this was my first event after some medical issues, and while I was trying to pace myself sometimes the action of it all can really take it out of your system. Thanks to Brock, Tyler and Kurt for their support and special thanks to Kurt for tolerating a novice helping out with the tire change on the dragger!
Until the next round…
