Outlaw Street Car Reunion V: Wrapping Up Time Trials On Friday Afternoon

The grind of Friday wore on at Beech Bend, but the weather couldn’t have been more cooperative. Cool temperatures and clear skies made for some very happy racers, who were probably looking at DA readings with the excitement of a kid on Christmas who has the present as tall as they are. With the sun setting, and the first of the qualifying sessions kicking off for the index classes, there still was a bit of relaxation to the whole affair…nothing felt rushed, even though an entire day got knocked off of the original plan due to incoming rain and all of the downtime that was incurred throughout the day. I packed up and rolled out a bit early, so that I could rest up for the long day that lay ahead on Saturday. From what I had been seeing, I was going to need my energy to keep up. I was not wrong.
