Our second gallery of photos from the PDRA Drag Wars at GALOT is right here thanks to our friend David Whealon. (Photos by David Whealon) – There’s a neat thing that happens when every racing season starts to come down to the wire. There’s points battles that heat up, drivers who step up their game to try and seize the championship, and others who just make the slightest errors and have to deal with the consequences. The PDRA has one race left to finish off their year and Drag Wars at GALOT has really set up the finals in Virginia to be one heck of a fight. This is the way you want a season to ramp up for the finals, that’s for sure.

These images of door slammers and dragsters getting after it on the eighth mile at GALOT Motorsports Park are fun and a reminder that we’re inching toward the “off-season” of drag racing. The sport will be heading to its brief winter hibernation soon enough but the racers never go down without a fight and boy was that evident on this weekend in North Carolina.
