What will you be doing if you make it to the ripe old age of 96 years? If you get there, tell me the next time you see me wherever we end up, because I don’t expect to see a full century of living. Those who are that age or better are doing well if they are lucid, mobile, and doing fine without much help from others. This 1922 Ford Model T is one of the 16.5 million that were cranked out over the T’s nearly twenty-year production run, but it’s about as far removed from original as you can get. That’s no 177 cubic inch four-cylinder behind the grille, that’s a Ford 302, and it works a C4 automatic and uses a Jaguar IRS setup to put the power down. Not bad for a street-driven Model T that’s still kicking today, but one thing to remember: the heaviest a Model T would be from the factory was 1,600 pounds curb weight. Add in the alterations and this old relic still undercuts a Fox Mustang by a very significant amount in the weight department. That 150-shot of spray isn’t really for anything but widening the smile on owner Noel Inman’s face as the old girl rips down the strip.
Wahey!
The World’s fastest greenhouse…..
This thing is freakin awesome! I mean a centre door T, unchopped, Jag rearend, running in the 10s!
70s Street Rod awesomeness to the max! Love it!
What the story doesn’t say is that he probably drove the thing 1600km or so from his home in Victoria to the start of Street Machine’s drag weekend at Willowbank Raceway in Queensland.
I have no reason to think he didn’t – Ive seen him drive it 5 hours to a race meeting, so why not 17…
Center door T is rare. I’d like to see the frame mods? Very cool!!!
