There’s a reason why the street-race style heads-up races like Eat Sleep Street’s “Controlled Chaos” are garnering crowds left and right…the action! Just look at what’s coming out to run on some random runway in America: an excellent cross-section of what is running anywhere in the country at any point in time. You can find nasty, big-tire cars, or you can find the small-tire guys who will scratch, slide and pedal for every last tenth of an ounce of traction they can get. We dig small-tire racing simply for that fighting style: not only is the guy in the other lane a problem, so is the tire, the track and the loud noises pedal. Make it work in harmony and you walk away looking like a consummate professional. Screw it up, and there is a wheat field. Hang your ass over the ragged edge, and you will look more like an Australian skidder than a drag racer while you fight your ride all the way down the course. No matter how you look at these races, you have to admit, the action is incredible!
