Drag cars, regardless of whether they are a big tire car or a small tire car build up a lot of rubber in the wheel wells after doing burnouts all weekend. A big tire car has more rubber contacting the ground so it stands to reason that they would build up more of it during a burnout than a small tire car, but how much? How big is the layer of rubber? How much does it weigh? I’ve personally scraped a lot of rubber out from under a variety of cars and can tell you that it can be a lot.
In this video, Daddy Dave Comstock is going to show you how he removes the rubber from Goliath and how thick and heavy it really is. Watch this.
Video Description:
Every wonder how much rubber builds up in the back of Goliath after all my big smokey burnouts? Well today I’m going to show you where all the rubber builds up, how to get it off the car, and we will weigh it together to see just how much build up there is after a few passes! Any guesses on weight? Comment down below before you watch the video.
I put Pam cooking spray on my 1/4s and the rubber comes right off if any sticks on at all. Obviously it’s still going to collect on ledges and flat areas but I’ve never had 12 pounds built up.
Try that and tell us how much time and weight you save next time it’s cleaning day.
