You are going to hear us talk about the weather in St. Louis for most of the Street Car Super Nationals V event, because not only are Chad and I not sweaty rags of human beings, but the weather is cooler than we’d expect by at least ten to twenty degrees Fahrenheit, the humidity is relatively mild, and the track surface at Gateway Motorsports Park is somewhere between “excellent” and “flypaper”. In fact, we’ve been joking that the only time we’ve been uncomfortable is when we’re walking around from the hotel to the truck!
As we got everything settled and prepped for Friday’s fun, Chad took control of the camera and I went walking around the pits and the fairways before the Nostalgia Super Stock class brought out all of the 1960s hammers out to play! We will have TONS of photos coming your way, so stay tuned. Meanwhile, click on a photo below to see the early portion of Friday…and that wicked 1959 Chrysler Saratoga body that was up for grabs if you had the coin!
