It seems like there is a Drag and Drive event in every state now, and even in Canada, Australia, and Sweden. But what about the U.K.? I mean you can drive across the whole country in a matter of hours rather than days like in the U.S. But what it might lack in total miles it more than makes up for in scenery, weather, and fun driving roads which is why everyone was excited to hear that Street Weekend was coming back in 2024. It is certainly an event I’d love to attend, that’s for sure.
And if you missed Street Weekend this year, but want to check out the action both on the track and on the road, then check out the Street Weekend 2 Movie that has just dropped! We’ve got it below and you need to check it out.
Video Description:
The official movie from Street Weekend 2024! Watch the trials and tribulations of 200 racers as they travel 400 miles, stopping at check points and putting in runs at Santa Pod Raceway and Melbourne Raceway over 3 days. Who will be crowned king of the street?
In a nod to the coveted Hot Rod Drag Week in the USA, drivers need to set and submit a time on the quarter mile at Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire before driving around 200 miles to Melbourne Raceway in York to set a time on the eighth mile on day 2 and then returning again and setting another time on the 3rd day back at Santa Pod Raceway.
