Our friend Ryan at Street Car Chronicles recently hung out with all the coolest VW cats around at the Texas vs The World Volkswagen race at Extreme Raceway Park in Ferris Texas and shot some cool video to share. We’ve got a couple of friends who are into VW bugs and I can tell you that several of them are regulars out at XRP. I know that a VW bug isn’t considered a high horsepower machine, but they also don’t weigh anything. These little bastards haul ass, leave with the front wheels in the air, and just look killer sitting down low with a slick out back. I was disappointed not to be able to announce this race because I was in Bowling Green for Holley’s MoParty, but am glad it turned out awesome.
Check out all the action in Ryan’s video below.
Video Description:
Jake and I head out to the biggest VW event I’ve been to in years! As a child my dad would take me to these events and they were always a blast! If you have never been to one, check out some of what they have to offer and plan to be there next year! Texas Vs The World is the premier VW event in Texas for V Dubs. They have everything from a street bracket class to, pro stock NA cars, to outlaw , and the Bandit class. To top it off there is also a car show all day Saturday. When we arrived we were a bit behind and I was told that there were over 100 in car show and 150 cars in the pits ! That’s just awesome! It was fun experiencing racing outside the normal for us and now I kinda want a VW again👀👀🤦♂️. Which one was your favorite? Drop it in the comments! Thanks for watching 👊👊
