Don’t you love it when someone goes on and on about how easy drag racing is? Look…just because there isn’t a corner or two to deal with does not mean that everything is a walk in the park. We’ve seen some very sketchy things go down in one thousand, three hundred and twenty feet, from nitrous backfires to some of the gnarliest wrecks you can possibly imagine and just about everything in between. And it’s not like driving out the situations is all that easy…drag cars go straight just fine, but start shaking things around, lose traction or get otherwise squirrelly and we guarantee that the driver will be holding onto more than just the steering wheel with a death grip. What’s really cool to see isn’t a car getting crossed-up and crazy, though…it’s watching a driver who has the knowledge and guts to drive every last inch needed to keep car from meeting concrete or the guy in the other lane.
