The Flying Pickle: Watch Michael Roemer’s Chevy S-10 Get After It In Georgia!

This is a truck that needs no introduction to any of us behind the scenes at BangShift. This is Michael Roemer’s Chevy S-10 known as “The Flying Pickle”. It’s super easy to spot…if the green paint doesn’t give it away, the frenched-in Cadillac taillights will. We’ve seen this truck and crew play all over. Their program is tight and they take every run down the track seriously. Going to Lights Out 9 earlier this year put them on point in the Limited 275 class, especially when it became clear early on in the racing that something wasn’t right with the torque converter. Off the line the S-10 was way soft until mid-way through first gear, at which point the nitrous truck came on like a freight train. This proved to be a blessing in disguise, with the soft setting getting the Chevy off of the line before the nitrous shoved it through the traps. After qualifying 10th out of 25 with a 4.79@146 MPH blast, the truck lasted until the quarter-finals where they were finally ran down and knocked out of the program.

You can’t miss the green missile whenever it lines up, and you can’t miss the party in the pits when they aren’t on the track. They are good folk and great entertainment, and that Chevy is one evil little thing. We’re looking forward to seeing more of it later this year!
