Three bitchin race tracks, and three big No Prep Kings races, means Shawn and the crew at 187 Customs were hard at work and having a good time. Virginia Motorsports Park, Brainerd International Raceway, and Beech Bend Raceway Park, are awesome tracks with some really neat history. But what stands out in this group, to me, is Beech Bend. You see Virginia and Brainerd either host or have hosted NHRA National events. They are big facilities with big events. Beech Bend on the other hand, while hosting some amazing races throughout the year(s), is a much “smaller” venue. If not in actual acreage, for sure with regards to the stands, the personality, etc. And yet here came NPK, and it was awesome.
Bowling Green, Kentucky, home to Beech Bend Raceway Park, is the home of Holley and also a serious car town. Hell, their local minor-league baseball team, that feeds the Tampa Bay Rays, is called the Hot Rods. This place is rad.
Here’s video from Shawn and the rest of the crew talking about how these three tracks took the power of the Murder Nova and how the weekends went overall.
