If the top of the engine assembly is near the top of the vehicle’s roofline, then happiness is sure to abound once you strap yourself into the driver’s seat…or, at least that’s what we keep telling ourselves. Jam that combination into a Holden Commodore ute and you now have a purposeful and useful vehicle. The concept of the ute might have been to haul the pigs to market on Saturday and to go to church on Sunday in the same vehicle, but there is only one kind of hauling we can think of when we see the back end of this wild Holden squat down when it launches and when the driver starts rowing through the gears. Running an 11.8 isn’t quite what we expected for such a huge setup, but we are willing to give the owner the benefit of the doubt and hope that these are early tuning runs…anything running a blower and intake that huge should at least be in single-digit quarter mile times!
