This Honda S2000 Is A Screamer! 7.17@192 MPH In The Quarter With The Four-Banger!

Honda is a strange company. On one hand, they make perfectly safe, sane, reliable and unbelievably boring four-wheeled transportation. On the other hand, their powersports division has made some of the most iconic machines out there, from the screaming CBR sport bikes to the infamous 250R three wheeler and FourTrax quads. And sometimes, on very rare occasions, the two companies meet in the middle and manage to crank out something really special. The Civic too damn boring? Meet the Civic Si, complete with VTEC, yo. That Civic not enough? Meet the Acura Integra Type-R. How about a Ferrari that will start and drive whenever you ask it to? Meet the Aryton Senna-tuned NSX, one of the biggest mic-drops Honda has ever managed to achieve. And in response to the cute little ladybug of a roadster, the Mazda MX-5, we got the S2000…two seats, two doors, roof optional. Oh, yeah…don’t forget about that 8,8oo RPM redline, either.

Now, add in a ton of boost into a heavily built F22C (not the screamer that the first version of the S2000 had, but the second one with a longer stroke that cut out at 8,000 RPM) and ask 132 cubic inches to do what has taken some racers almost ten times the engine to match. This is one Honda that earns respect one screaming war cry at a time.
