This Turbo-Four Eagle Talon Is A Monster That Can Hold It’s Own Against Turbo V8s

This Turbo-Four Eagle Talon Is A Monster That Can Hold It’s Own Against Turbo V8s

I had all sorts of Mitsubishi-related jokes lined up. “Danger to Manifold”. “Dude, I almost had you!” “See crank walk. Walk, crank, walk.” Fine…we all saw the original Fast and the Furious movie, and yes, the second-gen DSM cars with the 4G63 engines have been prone to issues. But if you get a turbo Mitsu from the 1990s or early 2000s going right, you’d better believe that there is power being made. In the case of this scrappy little Eagle Talon, there is one nasty 2.0L four driving all four slicks. It might not have the upper end torque of a turbocharged V8, but that isn’t where the Eagle will shine. This is a car all about the holeshot. Once the green light goes on, the clutch drops and the Eagle is just gone, making the most of the power it has. 60 PSI can make four cylinders do some amazing things, as the 1320video crew found out at the King Of The Streets XIV event in Wisconsin…just hit play below and see for yourself!
