There you go, straight out of Tony Stewart’s mouth, and we love him for it. I’ve spent some time with Tony and Leah recently and can tell you that they are serious competitors, great teammates, great friends, and powerful partners. This husband and wife duo could truly be a force to be reckoned with and there’s a lot more to that than just parts, crew, and drivers. The level of respect that Tony shows for these cars in quite frankly surprising. I say this because a guy like Tony, who has driven it all, is often expected to just downplay the ride no matter what he’s in. But that’s not the case with Tony.

He offers all the credit that is due to those that drive these beasts on a regular basis, and that starts with Leah. She’s coached him, mentored him, and supported him in his journey to proficiently operate a Top Fuel car, and if he didn’t respect it so much I’m not sure he could be good at it. These cars will bite you in a hurry, but Tony is down for the fight.
