You Want Close Racing? Here’s Your Close Racing…How About Two-Thousandths Close?

2/1000ths of a second…it doesn’t get any better than this one, folks. During the 2014 Real World Street Nationals in Orlando, Florida, these two Mustangs, the New Edge being driven by Tim Lynch and the notchback Fox being driven by Brad Brand, squared off and set one of the closest drag races that’s been seen in a long time, with Lynch just barely clenching the win light. Both of these cars are Outlaw 10.5 cars and both are packing a big-block Ford with turbos. That’s barely one foot of difference between the cars, and the track announcer nails it: that race was won at the tree.
