War in the Woods is an event that has grown to epic proportions in the last few years, but not just because it brings awesome racers and cars. It’s also one of the sketchiest joints you’ll find, and it often feels like there are almost as many crashes as close races. With all that said, we want to go. It’s one of those joints that is on everyone’s list of must attend tracks.
Video Description:
We know what we’re getting into when we head to “War in the Woods” at Brown County Dragway. The event features some crazy fast small tire cars (among other classes) and the track features narrow (slightly uneven) lanes divided by a thin strip of grass. Yes, there is grass on the racetrack. It gives both racers and spectators and added level of excitment as these 1000+ hp cars navigate down the 1/8th mile track. Unsurprisingly, we see numerous wrecks and a lot of close calls each time we come to this event.
Yep somebodie’s gona get kilt at this place.
What a bunch of idiots, morons like these give car people a bad name. These fools aren’t much better than the losers running side shows in the intersections in the cities. I’ll never understand why a track operator is willing to let so many people on the starting line surrounding the water box. Who thinks this is a good idea? I’m disappointed that I was dumb enough to waste 5 minutes of my live watching a small portion of this garbage.
