Watch As Tom Bailey Keeps This Pro Mod Oldsmobile Cutlass In One Piece At Lights Out 8!

Pro Mods might as well be compared to riding bulls in a rodeo: both sports take but a few seconds and one rider, both involve the use of something highly powerful and unpredictable, and for both sports, if you do it right, you’ll look like a hero…if you do it wrong, it’s gonna hurt…and if you somehow save your hind end from what could’ve been a really painful round, then you are a god among men for the day. Such is the case for racer Tom Bailey at the Lights Out 8 event in Georgia. Taking the driver’s seat in the 1972 Hurst/Olds Pro Mod after convincing owner Keith Engling to put small tires on the normally big-tired car, Bailey went out and proceeded to skate the car down South Georgia Motorsports Park’s strip as if the track had a layer of axle grease down it. Seeing the big Olds getting that sideways that far down the track is enough to make anyone clench in suspense, but credit goes to Bailey, who reeled the Olds back in before going back to the pits for fresh shorts.
