Greg Rourke and Bob Chiluk are the hardest working, unpaid sonsa…. Uh….they work really hard to send us great photos and we don’t pay them. They rule. And you should love them for the awesome photos they send it all summer. This past weekend they were at Meltdown Drags at Byron Dragway, home of the Power Wheelstand Championships. It was nothing but cool nostalgia stuff running with the wheels up. There are 100 new photos that we have in the gallery below, and another 100 for tomorrow. Bob and Greg are good.
Please thank them!
Wheelstands rule as does that white ’63 Ford…
Another killer submission from Greg and Bob.
The white 63 1/2 is badass. The maroon 64 was a legit R code car. The 63 1/2 does not have a bad angle anywhere, one of the most attractive cars ever, IMHO.
That Suicide King Studebaker is one sick puppy
That Stude flatbed has to be Ted Harbit.
Mike Bilina hurt the motor so we don’t have his usual antics to share. However, the grill and beer coolers at his motorhome were fully functional.
Very refreshing!
That flat bed was Ted Harbit. A #1 good guy. And THANKS to Chiluk & Rourke for posting the pic of me in my 61 Studebaker Lark. The Meltdown has been a blast these last 2 years we have attended.
OOPS- I am anonymous??!!?? NAAA Just Champ Trucking (Rich) LOL
What is the history of that patriotic themed ’37 A/G? Is this car called Vintage 37? I have a old Hot Rod magazine that did a write up of this car. It had an L88 with dual quad and 4 spd.
Ted Beach from Aurora, Il. owns it. He also restored Daddys Thing 58 Chevy, a locally famous race car.
Bob and Greg………..Your photos are excellent, keep up the fantastic work. These photos drive us to work harder for NEXT YEAR………….. Bang Shift is the “GO TO” place for Event, Show and Race photos.
Thank you all for the kind comments. Greg and I really enjoy doing the coverage for you all. With that I think they will double our pay!!!!
