I’m STILL in love with the Southeast Gassers racing series, even after all these years. These guys and gals put on one hell of a show and do it with nothing but stick shifted, traditional looking gassers. And each of them has a cool name, a backup girl, and the right kind of attitude. They put on a show, have amazing racing, and it’s the kind of nostalgia-style drag racing that puts big smiles on everyone’s faces. With names on every car, there is always someone to root for too!

And don’t for a second think these things are all show. Unlike some of the gassers you see at events, these are the real deal and are high-winding, wheels-up, gear-banging machines. Every single one of them leaves the starting line by dumping the clutch and sending it. That’s good drag racing right there. In fact, many people say that the Southeast Gassers Association puts on the most pure drag racing on the planet. (Disclaimer: We are some of those people.)
