Monaco is one of the most iconic street courses in racing. Period. There are lots of famous F1 and Indy Car races, but there is something about Monaco that sets it apart from the rest. If you have never been there, it’s amazing even when F1 isn’t in town. This country is tiny, rich, sexy, and cool, and that doesn’t even begin to describe it. And as if that wasn’t enough, here is video of 1980’s F1 cars running around the track.

One car in particular, the 1982 Alfa Romeo 182, is V12 greatness and the sounds it makes are music to anyone’s ears. You gotta check this out because many folks say that the best sounding cars in F1 history are the naturally aspirated V12s like the one in the Alfa.

Video Description:

At first glance, many of you might have thought you were looking at an ’80s McLaren due to the iconic Marlboro livery. But no, you’re looking at an Italian stallion in the Alfa Romeo 182. Raced by Andrea de Cesaris in the 1982 season, it managed to achieve a pole position in just the third race of the season at Long Beach. The car’s crowning glory was in Monaco, where de Cesaris managed to get on the podium in third. That setting is where we caught up with the car in the modern day. At the Monaco Historic, the crowds got to hear that naturally aspirated 3.0-litre V12 sing once more as it lapped the famous streets. Do you think this era was the best sounding?
