Goodwood events have grown exponentially in the last 10 years or so and with that growth has come a lot of cars that we might not otherwise have seen on the road course there, and this GT3 Camaro really stood out at this year’s Member’s Meet. This thing is a brutal machine with nearly 500 cubic inches of V8 power under the hood and the sound alone blew the skirts up on nearly everyone in attendance. With the 83rd Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport demonstrations soon to be announced, we wanted to spend some reminiscing about just how good the 82MM demos were. The GT3 cars came in all shapes and sizes and none were more intimidating than this Camaro. A Chevrolet Camaro isn’t the first car you’d think of for a suitable GT3 car, but 8.0-litres later and here we are. Reiter Engineering has built an absolute monster of a car. There was quite a bit of competition for best sounding car of the weekend, but this 8.0-litre V8 was like an almost literal punch to the gut as it flew past an awe-struck Goodwood crowd.
