Better Than a Bugatti? Here’s Why Jay Leno Paid Full Price for his 2026 Corvette ZR1X. How Bad Ass Is It Really?

Jay Leno has got some of the most awesome cars on the planet, as we’ve all seen parts of his collection over the years. And he’s wealthy enough to buy any car he could ever want, so it should come as no surprise that he ordered up and got a new Corvette ZR1X when they came out. If you have been living under a rock, these beasts are capable of mid 8 second timeslips at the dragstrip, will run 233 mph from the factory flat out, and they beat just about every exotic on the planet in every other measure. Oh, and their cheap.

Well cheap compared to a Bugatti, Ferrari, or Lambo.

Video Description:

Jay Leno just took delivery of his personal 2026 Corvette ZR1X, and it’s already breaking records. With an 8.6-second quarter mile and a 0-60 time of 1.6 seconds, Jay calls this the “greatest high-performance deal in history.”

In this exclusive episode, Jay is joined by Mark Reuss, President of General Motors, to explore the engineering marvel that is the C8 ZR1X. While European exotics cost millions, Jay points out that his ZR1X costs less than the sales tax on a typical Ferrari or Lamborghini, yet it outperforms them on almost every playing field. Powered by a dual-overhead-cam, four-valve V8 with a flat-plane crank and electrification on the front end, the ZR1X delivers an additional 187 horsepower through the front wheels for a total performance experience that Mark Reuss personally validated at 233 mph. Jay takes us through his bespoke spec, including the racing seats, carbon fiber wheels, and the massive 10-piston caliper ceramic brake package.
